The trails that connect these villages, historically known as “Caminos Reales”, were vital routes before the arrival of motor vehicles. Today, they offer hikers a moderately challenging route. As you walk along these paths, you will be captivated by the stunning natural landscapes, with the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains as a stunning backdrop.
The architecture of the villages reflects the rich medieval Alpujarra heritage, with narrow streets and traditional houses that seem to emerge organically from the hillsides.
This hike offers a peaceful escape, allowing you to immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of the region. There is also the option of providing a backpack to those who need it.
At the end of the route, approximately at 2:00 pm, you will have the option to recharge your energy at a local restaurant before returning to Granada.
